The Protect Rio Vista program utilizes your subscription funds to hire off-duty Fort Lauderdale police officers to patrol in the neighborhood.  The officers are in uniform when on duty and have full authority to take official action action should a crime take place while on patrol.  The officers patrol in a marked car leased by the civic association and will be dispatched by FLPD for any 911 call recieved from the neighborhood.  Members also recieve a cell phone number by which they may contact the patrol officers directly while they are on duty.  Members also recieve the opportunity to request a vacation check of their home when they are out of town.

Public Update Meeting for Pier 66

Dear Neighbors, 

I hope you and your families had an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday.
 
With construction underway and new development in the early stages of planning, we invite you to attend one of our upcoming community meetings:
 
  • December 8 at 6:00PM; or
  • December 9 at 12:00PM
 
As the holidays can be a busy time of year, all meetings will take place via Zoom so that you can join us from anywhere. The same information will be presented at each meeting, and this information will be available soon on our project website in the event that you are unable to join us.
 
I would encourage you to share this email and our registration links with your neighbors and friends. Everyone is welcome to join!
 
During the meetings, Tavistock Vice President of Development Chris Gandalfo and I will discuss our ongoing site activity, construction progress as well as a few updates and new renderings of the approved hotel redevelopment. Additionally, we will review proposed plans for the next wave of development on both the north and south sides of the Pier Sixty-Six property.
