FINAL PUBLIC HEARINGS ON CITY & COUNTY BUDGETS
The City of Fort Lauderdale Commission and the Broward County Commissioners will have their hands full this week with the final public hearings on their respective FY 2009/2010 budgets.
 Fort Lauderdale Commissioners final public hearing will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd and all residents are encouraged to attend. More information about the proposed FY 2009/2010 budget is included on the following pages, and additional budget details may be viewed at: http://www.fortlauderdale.gov/documents/budget.htm
 At their first public hearing on the 2010 Broward County Budget held on Sept.10, County Commissioners voted to keep the current millage rate at 4.8889 for Fiscal Year 2010. Commissioners will take a final vote on the proposed $3.3 billion budget at their second and final public hearing, which will be held Tuesday, September 22, in Room 422 of the Governmental Center, 115 S. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Public testimony will be taken. Budget documents, including a list of recommended reductions, are posted on www.broward.org/2010budget. |
