RIO VISTA! NEWSLETTER TO SPORT A NEW LOOK IN APRIL ISSUE
 As we continue to upgrade and improve our RIO VISTA! newsletter, e-newsletter and RVCA website, we're adopting the same logo and header 'look' for each component of our program.
Here's the new 'look'...the April issue will be out in the 2nd week of April and features a great interview with new Mayor Jack Seiler, reports from new District IV City Commissioner Romney Rogers, County Commissioner Ken Keechl and an article from the Fort Lauderdale History Center on the many aspects of neighborhood preservation and historical designations...including dispelling some common myths about what is and isn't 'historic' in Rio Vista!

RIO VISTA RESIDENT & RESCUE DOG LAUNCH SOCIAL NETWORK WEBSITE TO HELP OTHER DOGS STUCK IN THE JOINT!
Dogs all over South Florida are barking since Latte, a 4-yr. old Chocolate Lab, now living in Rio Vista, decided to start iRescueDOGS.org. According to Latte, the Chief Executive DOG of iRescueDOGS.org, he started the website because he was FED UP with the misconceptions about shelter dogs; such as not being able to find a purebred. "NONSENSE," he barked, a purebred Chocolate Lab himself. "Way too many dogs are being put to sleep in shelters! We Dogs are not stupid (despite occasional drooling) and we know animals are being killed in there. Why do you think we go so crazy when a potential owner shows up?" he asked. Nevertheless, Latte readily admits he was a wild, crazy, run away, misbehaving rascal of a dog before being rescued and properly trained by his new owners, Brian Thomas and Raquel Taylor, residents of Rio Vista.
