IT'S 'CARTI GRAS! & CAMP OUT TIME!!
This Saturday, Feb. 21st

Carti GrasIt's a now-legendary spring ritual in Rio Vista at Virginia Young Park!  The festivities kick off at noon-2pm with hot dogs on the grill, followed at 3pm by the fun and fabulous 'Carti Gras!' golf cart parade through the neighborhood.  After the parade, as the day turns to evening, there's a cook-out in the park followed by an evening of fun, stories 'round the campfire (yes! a real campfire!) and a great breakfast the following morning. For more info on participating in either or both events, contact Ted or Judi Bertolett at 954.288.7885.

As a courtesy to our neighbors, please note the following:
1. 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM:  Tent and equipment drop off at the designated drop-off area west side of the park.  Due to space limitation, loading and unloading only (no parking at the park).
2.  NOON:  Free hot dogs at the park.
3.  1:30 PM:  Golf carts participating in the parade begin lining up.
4.  3:00 PM:  Golf cart parade begins.
5.  After parade:  transportation to the park by walking, bicycle or golf cart. No cars, please!
6.  Cooking area:  located at west end of park.
7.  Portable bathroom:  located at east end of park.
8.  Please keep area clean and place trash in trash cans.
9.  Please limit noise after 11:00 PM.
10.  FLPD security detail will be in the neighborhood overnight.
11.  Sunday, 9:00 AM:  Breakfast.
12.  10:00 AM - Noon:  Tent and equipment pick-up, west side of park.
13.  Volunteers to help clean up after the camp-out greatly appreciated.

Thank you...and have another great day and night in Rio Vista with your neighbors and friends!

WALK/RUN RIO VISTA! a hit with participants!
"What a great event!...When's the next one?"

Our first ever WALK/RUN RIO VISTA! event was billed as a 'just for fun' way get out with your neighbors and friends to 'Start Your Heart' Right on Valentines' Day!'...and turned out to be all of that and more!  Approximately 140 people (and dogs & horses!) showed up at Victoria Young Park on a gorgeous Saturday morning to kick off Valentines Day with a walk/run around our Rio Vista streets.
