The web site consists of more than 70 grocery stores throughout Broward County, including Publix, Albertsons, Winn-Dixie, Whole Foods and Sedano's supermarkets. If extensive property damage does not occur, these stores expect to be ready to open for business shortly after a hurricane occurs, even in the event of a power outage. 'WALK RIO VISTA' EVENT IN PLANNING STAGES FOR FALL
RVCA and RIO VISTA! are in the planning stages to hold a 'WALK RIO VISTA' event for our Rio Vista residents and friends this fall. The idea for the event comes from the City of Fort Lauderdale's Parks & Recreation Department 'WALK FORT LAUDERDALE' program, which kicked off in early 2008 and features walks throughout various city parks. It's a great way to promote good health through increased physical activity and we're excited about getting our neighbors and the entire Rio Vista community involved!
