FPL TO TRIM TREES IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
RVCA has received a letter informing us that they will be trimming trees in our area around power lines.
Click here to read the FPL letter. For more information on FPL's tree-trimming program, visit FPL's website here! Residents may opt to hire their own tree trimmers if they wish to have some 'aesthetic control' over the way they are trimmed.
CORDOVA RD. PUMP STATION REHABILITATION PROJECT - UPDATE
The City of Fort Lauderdale, under the Water and Wastewater Capital Improvements Program, WaterWorks 2011, is working on a pump station rehabilitation project at 'the big bend' (aka 'S curve') on Cordova Rd...more officially known as the intersection of Cordova and SE 12th Street. This is part of the final phase of work for the new sanitary sewer collection system for the community. The short story is that an aging, outdated generator is being removed and replaced with an upgraded system that will serve us all better and more efficiently. So far, the contractor has installed a temporary power pole and partial electrical conduit. Work remaining includes the installation of new pumps and controls to the existing pump station, so we may see some intermittent traffic delays occurring there, but no road closures are anticipated and the project is scheduled for completion in Spring 2009. If any questions, call WaterWorks 2011 at 954.522.2604
